Insurers and Sport Medicine Stakeholders require proof that Therapists practice to provincial standards of care. AT-ON Registered Members meet the provincial practice standards in Ontario. Ontario Athletic Therapists, in Good Standing, are compliant with provincial standards of care and with Ontario concussion law and concussion treatment guidelines. They are assigned an "R-Code" indicating they are fully Registered to Practice. The practice standards have nothing to do with national membership or the entry-to-practice certification. Health care is delivered provincially. Health profession standards of care are defined  provincially. Ask for the Reg.AT-ON R-Code to be sure.
