Athletic Therapists are health care professionals who specialize in the prevention, assessment and care of musculoskeletal disorders (muscles, bones, joints) especially as they relate to athletics and the pursuit of physical activity. In Ontario, to practice as an Athletic Therapist one must pass a national exam and certification administered by the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association (CATA) after completion of an accredited academic institution program of study. Following certification, Athletic Therapists in Ontario are eligible for certified memberships in the OATA and able to practice using the title CAT(C).

New members must complete the Online Membership Application Form. Fees will be processed online by credit card payment or cheque and an invoice receipt copy will be e-mailed to you.
